Sporran Wallet

To avoid hijacking the kilt hanger thread I am opening a new one.

Jfellrath posted a link to this page for kilt hangers http://www.scottishstore.com/acatalo...d_Wallets.html , but when I opened it the Leather sporran wallet was on display.

Bear has been making the Sporganizer for some time now, and I have seen his and Raphael's. The only thing tht stopped me from ordering one was the fact that it didn't address the issue of change. Anyone that lives or has visited Canada knows that our $1 and $2 bills were turned into coins several years ago. My sporran quicky fills up with change during a night out at the pub.

This othe rversion looks like it meets most needs for holding all your stuff neatly inside the sporran.

My question is, does anyone own one of these yet?

This just looks a little like a "European Carry-All" ;)

I've been considering something along these lines to handle loose change. Lays fairly flat and compact in the sporran and opens and closes easily without snaps or straps.

I don't like it much - too bulky. I like the Sporganizer as a sporran wallet simply for its hight. When you do need your cards and ID, it's right there; you don't have to dig too far. ...and while I haven't seen one up close, it looks like it's fairly slim

I've never kept my money in my wallet, so that wasn't a priority for me. Besides, I don't want to have to pull out everything just to buy a beer or something.

Right now, I'm using a change purse like this one ('cept it's made of thicker leather and stays flat), to hold coins and bills, but the bills jam up against the coin at the bottom and peek out the top.

I think I'm gonna order one of these. At 3"x3", and a pocket for each - coins and bills - and a spill-out tray, I think it should work out fine.

Well what I use for change is a childs sporran and I have rigged it up to use as a wallet with a chain I think it looks cool, I've gotten a couple odd comments when I pull it out of my sporran to get change.

I use a small Crown Royal bag to hold small items in my sporran.

I have a small "change purse" that actually holds folding money as well. Unfortunately I bought it in Belgium. It is made by Yves Renard. You may be able to purschase from them online. I use a standard trifold wallet for my cards and other "junk"

Actually, when I was in Germany, the waiters had a wonderful wallet, I've been looking for it for ages and have finally found one by that design:

It's the Waiter's Purse model. The accordion part holds money and cards, and the folded part at the front actually turns into a little open-topped box when you flip up the front to hold coins very securely- plus in a dim room you're looking into a shallow tray for coins, not a deep pit like with so many wallets.

Sadly, I can't seem to order from that website, but if anyone knows what I'm talking about, (and knows the real name of it!) they would be great for a kilt wallet- keep all your change in one spot!

I really like how that one is designed. If only it was half the width, to fit a single-fold bill.

While I was looking around, I found one just like the one you linked to, except it had an LED set up to light the inside of the change area. I couldn't find it when I went back for second look.
