So completely off topic....
....that it's not even funny...
Did anyone happen to catch tonight's episode of Grey's Anatomy. The roomie and I got into a discussion about part of the episode and whether or not the part when the bomb did go off was a dream sequence or not...
I thought it was part of the dream sequence but apparently my roommate thinks I've been taking too many pain meds following surgery because he knew it wasn't part of the dream sequence....
So if you saw it, let me know because I'd love to get some people to back me up on this....even if you didn't see just say that I'm right....

I was pretty sure that the bomb did go off. One part I wasn't sure about though. If my memory serves me correctly, the bazooka rockets did not arm until they were down range about a hundred or so yards or so. Of course, the projectile was supposed to be home made, So...

Not to stifle discussion here but there is a great site with absurdly detailed analysis of just about every popular show in the US where you can get explicit details of recent eps
its called Television Without Pity and they update it fairly quickly after the show - and "Grey's Anatomy" is right up at the top of thier list today.

I think...
I think the bomb did go off only because of the cut on Meranda's head when 'Dr. McDreamy' came to visit. It was a good show last night though.

Oh yeah it definitely went off and the whole pink mist thing because they pulled her into the shower to wash her off afterwards adn it was clear what had happened. But either the meds I was on made me think it was a dream sequence still when it exploded or just really good work on their part to make you wonder if it happened...

Yeah it was homemade and the explosives inside were also homemade which made it a bit more unstable as well.

I have never seen that show until *that* episode. My wife got sucked into it recently, and I watched that one with her.
A more interesting question is: why are we confused as to why it happened or not? My wife asked the same thing out-loud. I guess the answer is that things seemed too "business as usual" in the hospital after the blast. I thought it was a dream sequence also until they had her in the shower and were washing the atomized version of that guy off her face.
After that one episode, I doubt I will watch it again. It wasn't bad, but I don't have much free time, so I am very picky about my TV watching. (I love Law'n'Order, Bones, Mythbusters, Scrubs, Top Gear, and Ghost Hunters; everything else I can skip.)

For me the question at that time wasn't WHY it happened but IF it happened. I mean we had the surreal McDreamy sequence to help her get the bomb out of hte guy a few minutes before and while we didn't have "dream sequence" camera work, there was still something surreal about how the guy got vaporized. I mean why even have a flak jacket on if it's not going to help with that bomb he's carrying???

sorry, i meant "if", not "why". I'm just being my airheaded usual self. I hear what you are saying. I was thrown off by how the show "flowed".
