Sporran with Weathered Lamont?
I seek your sage counsel on this since I'm still very new to this.
The Weathered Lamont has beige and grey in it according to Stillwater Kilts. Would a brown or a black sporran be more appropriate for this? I know what I have going through my head, but chances are good I'd be committing a major faux pas.
Thanks!

It really depends on the look you are going for. Are you going to wear it formaly or casual?

I think brown would be best but either would look fine.

Casual - or at least that's my intention right now.

Either way it's okay. If you wear a brown sporran, wear a brown belt, black sporran, black belt. Other then that, do what you think is best.

I think brown would look great, but I agree with Big Dave's statement. Just make sure it all matches (sporran, belt, shoes). If you are getting a black freelander just go for that. You may find some great deals on a brown sporran at the Highland games in June.

I'd go for brown as but I think you'd have to put them side by side and see how it looks against the fabric. And of course it may depend on the shade of brown as well....
