Enter the Haggis gave up kilts?
I just heard from people near the band that ETH is giving up kilts. Only Craig is using one anymore. That is because they want to turn more "rock". What's more rock than a kilt? That is a real shame I think. Maybe we should start to collect names to get ETH back in kilts?

that is a shame. there is a long list off rockers known to wear kilts..Axl Rose...Lead singer of Korn...who knows how many more.
I let spill a wee drop o' scotch in mourning.

That is a shame. They better get them back to Fergus to the games so we can give them an ear full. That was one of the unique things about them. Too many bands have stopped wearing kilts. I think I remember a time a few from Seven Nations wore kilts. I know our good friend Ewan with the Glengarry Bhoys would love to wear his CCKilts on stage, he got so use to it over the years of piping in pipe and drums and with his own band he recently left . I'm not sure but I don't think the bands leader Graham wants to be labeled as a kilt band. He's a piper (and guitarest, etc, etc) and loves wearing kilts, if he could he would. What more can you say. The pipes and kilts just go together.
If there worryied about being unique, it's more unique to wear kilts these days than not. Theres not enough bands wearing them anymore apart from the Mudmen and a few others. There all still great bands but we miss the kilts. For some bands it made the show.

Just be grateful that groups like the Bay City Rollers never wore the kilt! If memory serves me, they did wear Royal Stewart Bell bottoms however.......ugh!

Oh yes they did! Based on the level of formality it may have been an exciting S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y night.

That really gets me all these Celtic bands that start out with wearing kilts to attract attention for themselves then when they decide time to go rock we'll start wearing pants. Don't get me wrong I love ETH they are a great band and are really nice guys to talk with but come on what are they thinking. I know when you want to move to a large market of audience you need to step out out of the stigma of "that band that wears kilts" but come on that's what made them. Lets Hope MEN IN KILTS another Canadian Celtic band doesn't decide to change their image, or any other band . I know I'm sounding off a bit I was just having this conversation last night with Rob Campbell of the MUDMEN we were discussing the design of their new outfits for the stage. Anyway I love the kilt I love the way it looks, especially with a little imagination what can be worn or the design options that is why I hate to hear about such a drastic image change for these guys or any other band at lest Jonathan Davis of Korn still makes a point to wear a kilt at some time during their live performances. I wish I could make a kilt for him. I guess that would be a whole other wish list in itself.

With so many grunge and metal bands wearing short pants on stage, kilts should be a no-brainer, even if they're solid colors. I'd think they would be sooo much more comfy under those hot lights and a real turn-on for the women in the audience.
