    Heather & Hearth Scottish Shop

You guys from Fergus, ON likely already know about these guys, but for the rest of us here is some info about them
Heather & Hearth Scottish Shop is located on the main floor of The Foundry, located at the corner of St. David and Queen Streets in Fergus, Ontario, Canada. For the past twenty-one years the shop have been selling quality products from the British Isles. Fergus, located in the beautiful Upper Grand River Valley of Southern Ontario, was established by two Scots Advocates, Adam Ferguson and James Webster in 1833. The community has retained its Scottish heritage through its unique stone architecture and yearly Scottish activities. Heather & Hearth Scottish Shop was established in 1985 to fulfil the need for Scottish product and services in the area.
It looks like they have some kilts, jackets, and gear on sale right now too. Check them out:

Yes, the Fergus market has closed and is being renovated into stores instead of an open market with smaller booths. Heather and Hearth has been in that market for some time. They were thinking of staying but have decided to retire while they have the chance. Some of there prices are still a little high but may come down as they get closer to closing. I don't know when that will be but I will try to find out for sure and i'll post it. I know they have a lot of rental kilts and some decent Prince Charlie and Argyle jackets they use to rent out. If they dump there prices they may sell more.
It's too bad there going, they just cant wait untill the new stores open and i'm sure the rent will go up quite a bit. May not be worth the closing and wait to reopen and try to sell and rent enough to pay the bills.

I wisk them well in their retirement. Here is my definition of retirement.

Retirement is that time in your life when you can quit working for pay and do all the work (for free) that you couldn't get to while you had a job.

Is the price on the site ($395) still the going rate for the kilts? Is the list basically what is left (or less)?

If you do contact them directly and they have something in your size that you want, take a chance and make them an offer. They are retiring and will want to be rid of these rental kilts and jackets. I'm sure as long as it's a resonable offer they will probably haggel a bit. Pm Machummel, he knows them better than I.
