Rockin' in the kilted world
Called Rocky at USA kilts today, and ordered a set of flashes to go with the Ramsay I was having made. Rocky dropped a bomb on me, and told me the Ramsay should be there by now. So I went to the Post Office, and there she was, in all her glory, with the shirts I ordered as well. They all look great. Haven't tried it on yet, but pics will be posted soon afterwards!
As some of you may remember, I ordered a sporran from Buzz Kidder about a month ago, and it arrived about a week or so ago. There was delay in shipping, and the nice lady at Buzz Kidder agreed to send me a free shirt as a thank you for my patience. No shirt came, but I was happy with the sporran. It was the one that I dyed.
The surprise is this..........also waiting for me at the Post Office was a sporran from Buzz Kidder, in the color that I was hoping for originally, and the aforementioned promised shirt. I did not pay for this sporran.
The little demon on my shoulder said don't call, don't e-mail...take the swag and run
But, the kilted overseers scowled down on me, and I called Buzz Kidder. I explained the situation, and although the same nice lady told me to keep which ever sporran that I wanted, I decided I would return the undyed sporran. She was really gracious, courteous and grateful that I was going to send it back.
I think I made a friend in San Antonio.

Nice, very nice. Glad that you are getting all the proper Kilts and accesories, especially with the sudden burst of great windfalls.

Well.... how's the fit?!?!
Even though I've made "more than my share" of kilts, I still get a little nervous when I make them for someone I know personally (like people who pick them up in person or people here on XMARKS). 99% of the time they're fine, but I always get a little nervous until I hear the "Fits Great" come from behind the curtain (at the shop) or on the screen (on xmarks).

Ummm Rocky......
Maybe this isn't the place to say this but...
There is a problem.....
The cost is a little high......
You'll understand what I mean.....
-Kilt..$230
-Shirts..$25.00
-Flashes..$13.00
-Plane ticket to fly to Audubon, PA and hug you for such an AWESOME KILT.....$400.
This kilt is exactly what I wanted...light enough for summer wear, gorgeous color for social events, and good workmanship for a PERFECT fit. No other kilt I own (7 now) fits so well. A picture will come on Sunday, as I have no one to take my photo. You will get my business again!
I know I made a friend in Pennsylvania. ALL HAIL USA KILTS!!!!!!!

Cool Norbydog. Can't wait to see pictures.
I finally rreceived my Buzz Kidder sporran today after calling them a few days ago. Very pleased! I was expecting a light tan that I was planning to dye a darker brown, but it is a beautiful chocolate brown that is exactly the color I was planning on dying it. All I had to do was make a leather belt for it and dye it to match the sporran. Now I'm just waiting on a brown belt to complete the ensemble.
