Things like this blow my mind because when you think of some of the crap that has seen its production stepped up it's a tragedy to see something so quintessential fall by the wayside.

Always been a Marlin man myself, but I wish I could've afforded this one. At $1,474.95 when it came on the market, there was no way I could've gotten one, and now, there's no chance I'll ever be able to.

Yeah, it's a shame. If I were a gun collector, I would definitely want one of these in the collection.

I can't blame the company though. They have to do what's good for the company, and if the rifle is not profitable it has to go.

Yup, Marlin for me also, I always liked a scope and a Winchester sucked when it came to mounting a scope on it, always jamming. I had a Glenfield model with matching scope but my son wanted it more so guess where it is these days? It's going to be a serious problem for him since he has three sons himself and they're all going to want it!
