    In that link, they list the Monarch of the Glen (no, not after the TV show) tartan as new. My local shop has been renting those for years http://www.tartantown.com/rentals.htm (first on the left) I am really hoping they sell one in my size in the ex-rental sections one of these days.

    I assume that is a new fashion tartan. It is not listed in the Compendium of District Tartans (Newsome & Bullman, Scotpress 2004 & 2005) and differs from the American, American with Eagle and United States / St. Andrews tartans.

    My next kilt is going to be in the American National tartan. I requested a sample swatch from the House of Edgar and the real thing looks much nicer than electronic version.

    I don't care for it. Maybe if they replaced the green stripes with white ones.

    It's better than that horrid "American Bicentennial." I'll say that for it.
