Happy Tartan Day!
If you have any interesting or fun experiences today, why not let us know? My fiance and I meet with our priest tonight to discuss our wedding, so maybe we can get a few pics, too.
Well, that's about it from me this morning...I hope everyone has a Happy Tartan Day.
Sláinte.

Let's also remember this is the 686th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Arbroath.

Tartan Day...
"Every line of strength in American history is a line colored with Scottish blood."
-- President Woodrow Wilson
(I believe that Wilson's quote could be amended to almost any country where Scots settled!)
Happy Tartan Day everyone!

We are having an open house at the Scottish Tartans Museum today.
http://www.scottishtartans.org
Free Admission all day. Guided tours. And the Friends of the Museum are preparing some delectables to give away in our gift shop -- Scotch Broth Soup, various cookies, shortbreads, scones, etc. for our visitors.
We are also lining Main Street, Franklin, with tartan banners.
Everyone have a good Tartan Day!

The reason that today was chosen for Tartan Day.
For as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom — for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
From The Declaration of Arbroath 1320.
We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. - Japanese Proverb

Happy Tartan Day!
Alas, instead of going kilted to the terror of my coworkers, I am home sick...

Indeed, sadly I'll be busy all day in meetings, but Tartan day is being celebrated on Saturday the 8th in Northern Ohio (no, I have no idea why - other than to celebrate bigger on the weekend, I suppose).
Have a great one!
