    Kilt maintenance day

    I had a lazy day...no plans whatsoever.

So I decided to do some maintenance...I did a forum search and read some related topics and started with my belts, straps and sporrans...cleaned them and used some leather wax.

Then I inspected my kilts...got rid of some minor stains and did some steaming and pressing. Some pleats lost their edge and some had a few wrinkles.

It was the first time I pressed them, but I was amazed about the result.
A lazy, but rewarding day.....nice sharp pleats and shining leather.

The addiction is complete now...I start to pet my kilts and gear

    Robin,

How did you get to find such a day to be lazy?

    Great tale you shared, thanks.

I named my Buzz Kidder sporran Spike, after our 4.5 lb Yorkshire Terrior . . . he thinks he's a Pitt Bull.

The only time to get worried is when some stranger starts to pet your animal mask sporran, WHILE YOU'RE WEARING IT!

Well now, that depends on what the stranger looks like. Hopefully they won't be a stranger too long.

there are two types of people who pet sporrans:

    1. People you want to pet your sporran, and any thing else they may brush up against.

    2. People who's wrists are likely to be broken if they even think about going near your sporran.

If I were you, I stick with group 1. They tend to be more fun.
