Well That Shut Her Up....
So, I'm a counselor. Most of my work is in addictions and that means the criminal justice system. Courts and probation officers send folks to my agency for treatment.
Today I had a repeat customer. A 19 year old lady that absconded from probation last year before she finished treatment. The cops found her drunk a few weeks ago. She just got out of jail and was sent back to finish her treatment.
This young lady, though only 19, has a long arrest history around illegal drugs and underage drinking. But she's attractive and has a "how to open doors with just a smile" personality. She's used to using her beauty, charm, and flirting, to get her way - or at least special treatmnet.
She was being defensive by asking me a lot of personal questions and acting like we're old friends. She's commenting on the kilt pics in my office and chattering away about anything that comes to mind rather than focusing on the assessment she needed to complete with me.
Suddenly she asks me, "So how many kilts do you have anyway?"
I said "35."
She was speechless.
I regained control of the questioning and we finished in short order.
Guess there wasn't much she could think of to say to that....

Ron, I have seen your pictures and I am trying to figure out how you keep from pulling your hair out with the people you have to treat in your profession. My bride is a counselor and I know what that can do to a person. She's pretty good at leaving the work at the office but sometimes it carries over into our life together. I try to be supportive of her, but it doesn't always work. You, Sir, are to be commended for what you do every day for people. I could not do that job and stay sane.
Here's to you and keep up the good work

Well Ron, most guys probably don't have 35 articles of clothing total, and certainly not 35 pairs of pants. It's amazing how kilts seem to turn us all into a clothes horse.

I'd be happy with an even dozen kilts of various styles and patterns. I'm halfway there.

ROTFL... I love it. Did her jaw drop? Just wondering.

I would never intend to take away from what Ron does (frankly, I'm WAAAAY too short tempered to do what he does), but... You should try working on a submarine!
