    SWK Nylon sporran

OK, as I said on this other thread, I wanted to provide folks some more detailed information on the new SWK nylon sporran, that can hold a 9-mm if needed. First off, I want to say that I only have 2 other sporrans, that have sufficed for everything I have needed so far, a plain black, three tassel one that you can find every where, and a fairly nice soft leather brown one off eBay.

Now the standard black one I have is fairly small, no separate compartments, and getting the change at the bottom is a challenge. In contrast this SWK is great. Now, I got mine off the blemish rack, but it is perfect. Just some bubbles on the back where it joins to the backing material, which nobody sees anyway. The following pics should help give some perspectve and details:

The front, notice that the flap has a zipper that opens to a small compartment that is great for coins and other small items:

The back (and you will have to adjust your sporran belt. The thingy with the loops that you clip to is wider than on most sporrans):

Showing the flap pulled up (fastened by velcro), and the underflap pocket, with gussets for expansion:

Another view of the under flap pocket:

    The rest of the pictures.

The main compartment (in the back and opened by 2 zippers that meet) with my hand inside:

The sporran with the main compartment closed AND the 12oz plastic tumbler inside!

    Enjoy!

looks pretty good so far. I'll have to seriously consider it. How long did it take to be delivered after you ordered it?

KKT, about as long as the reply to your post! Seriously, Jerry at SWK has outstanding customer service. I ordered and paid for (via paypal) the sporran and kilt on a Friday morning and it was in my hands on Monday afternoon. Now, I am in Chicago and Stillwater is in Minneapolis, so I have geography working for me, but everybody raves about SWK's fast delivery.

can you imagine how many flasks you can fit into this thing?!? looks to me like you could fit a whole litre or two in there!

Certainly! A couple of quart flasks, easily, and you could fit fifths, but they would stick out the top!

It's an awesome everyday sporran. Since I got mine, I wear it (almost) all the time, with all my cilts (even my UK's). I highly recomend this sporran for everyday wear.

Thanks for the review KCW. I think I'm going have to get one now. Hopefully he has some of the blemished left.

Great review. I have been thinking about one but am saving for vacation, so will wait.

    Thumbs up

I bought one from Jerry recently and everything KCW has said I echo with a big smile .Mine was off the blemished list too and I have no complaints the blemishes are small . All I can say if the seconds are this good the regular stock must be great.

    Bottom line I like it!
