    Ebay kilts received, wrong size

After waiting for a week - I didn't realize they only shipped on Friday - I received my kilts from the eBay guy today. I ordered 2 size 40s. I opened one and tried it on -it's a bit loose, but it will work. I carefully removed the thread and started looking it over. That's when I saw the size - 42. Yikes! My waist is a 39 and should be shrinking soon since I'm now back to my work out program. I've emailed the store and hopefully they won't have any problems correcting the error. I told them I would keep the one that I had already removed the thread from since it can't really be sold as new. It definitely needs a good ironing and I now realize why there were some complaints about the straps. Overall, it doesn't fit too bad. The looseness makes me nervous though. Now, here's where I show my ignorance. There are two nylon loops attached to the inside. What are these for? They are much too far apart to be used for hanging on a normal hanger, not to mention center of gravity problems.

Those are for hanging it on a "skirt hanger."

As for the loops, I've also heard that they were originally used to hang the kilt from pegs on the wall, but I'm no historian.

Emailed Scott with the issue. He says to send both kilts back and he'll send out the correct size - well, a 38. He doesn't have any 40s. Hopefully I'll be below a 38 in the next 4 months anyway. The only down side is that I have to wait even longer for them. This is getting rough.

after having worn them almost every day since I got mine in..I'll have to say the wait is worth it.

just make sure you get those leathers swapped out. Tartan Hikers does a great job making replacements!
