    Got a Nice Email

I got great news in an email from Alexis Malcolm this morning. I was asking her about something else and she answered the question. In addition, she says that my US Army tartan kilt and accessories are going out for delivery today. Woo Hoo!!!

Excellent news; will you be wearing it often, or just to VFW or special events? I plan to wear the Iraqi Freedom Tartan at least once a week. Sunday services, (or at least wednesday, but well see) Anytime I go to the park, and for the chagrin of my children, to PTA meetings, and school events.

Well, if I have it by this weekend, I'll wear it for Memorial Day. Other than that, this summer there's the Army Birthday. I probably won't wear it a lot this summer, as it is a heavyweight wool and will probably be too hot around here. After the summer though, I'll wear it whenever I feel like it, especially on days of military significance, like Veteran's Day.

I've already got one kilt from Alexis, my lightweight MacIan tartan. It's a wonderful kilt and I wear it more than any other I own.

Show us the pics as soon as you can. That one is on my list too and I'd like to see what it looks like finished.

Well, according to the delivery notice, I should get it Thursday or Friday, so I will have it for this weekend. I'll definitely wear it on Memorial Day (if I've got the clothes to match ).

On another note, Kathy Lare has my Xmarks tartan in hand, but there are a few kilts in the lineup before mine. Still, it shouldn't be too much longer before I get that one.

Now, I just have to pay off the credit card.

    Dave,

What weight is your US Army? On Kiltstore.net they have it listed in both 13 and 16 oz. fabrics. I've been thinking about the latter (ex-artilleryman that I am!). Does Alexis offer it in the 16 oz.?
