Eyeballing Heritage Hose
Yesterday, during our rendezvous with Steve and Bobbie, I got a chance to look at and examine Freedom Kilts Heritage Hose that they make at the shop themselves.
Impressed with the length since I manage to screw up and shrink most of the kilt hose I've bought so far. These are much longer than Lochcarron etc. kilt hose so there's room for them to shrink on me. If they do shrink...website says they're machine washable too.
Closest match is with those close out Blaxknit hose we got through Sierra Trading Company a while back. For length that is. You can REALLY do a double turn down with those South African Blaxknits AND with Heritage Hose.
Of course Heritage Hose look like your grannie knitted them up special for you, don't have the commercially made look of the Blaxknits.
I'm also impressed with the range of colors - beyond the standard few offered by the major kilt hose makers.
What I can't figure out is how Steve was so compfortable in them when it was over 90 degrees F out yesterday....?
Adding to wish list....maybe by the time it cools down out here in the desert in November I'll have funds to buy some.
