how many guys own no pants?

Well, I asked a question relating to men buying kilts and not wearing them in public, so let's also cover the opposite side of the spectrum - how many guys are wearing 100% kilts and no longer own pants?

How does it feel knowing that every single day you will automatically be wearing a kilt for everything? That's a rhetorical question, I just can't imagine....

Are there any times when you feel a kilt might not be appropriate? One ocassion I thought of would be a funeral. Of course you would wear black, but I can see people thinking you were not treating the ceremony with "seriousness" and using it as another excuse to wear your kilt.....which is totally wrong thinking.

I wonder how long it will take for the kilt to be commonplace?

I haven't worn p**ts in over 2 years now. It really hasn't been a problem. Truth is, for me it's just getting dressed and I really don't think much about it anymore.

Can't say I don't own any pants...although I can say I'd rather not wear them. In time ( soon, I hope ) I'll be rid of these two-legged monstrosities..

I still own all of my pants even if I don't wear them. I won't throw something out if it still can serve a purpose.. But, lately, their only purpose has been to take up space in my dresser and closet..

I started wearing kilts last August and now there are times when it's a week or two without pants. There are however times at work and other events when pants are needed so I still have them.

I have not worn any pants since starting to wear kilts last September to the office. Still have pants hanging in the closet and am wondering why. I do wear shorts when I am going to be doing something inappropriate for a kilt, like biking, or going to an amusement park with the girls where I might be scrambling on monkey bars, swings, etc..

A funeral is actually a very appropriate place to wear a traditional kilt and jacket. I lost my Uncle and step mother within 6 weeks of each other earlier this year and wore a kilt, black Argyll jacket, and tie to both funerals. The only person in attendance for both funerals whose opinion I asked before hand was my Dad. He had no problems with it.

Here is a pic of the entire family before my Uncle's funeral:

Of all the people in that picture, the kid wearing the cap, bandana and jacket that is 4 sizes too large looks the most out of place.. In contrast, your outfit looks quite sharp.

Still have pants for the few odd occasions. I have done 2 gigs in the last 6 months where I was requested to wear pants. My wife asked me not to wear a kilt to one of her work functions, and there are occasions (such as painting) where I really don't want to accidentally ruin a kilt (though one of my UK's is fast becoming my household repair kilt and may end up with me giving up the painting pants).

    Quit wearing pants last August.

Just gave a LOT of pants away to the local detox center. Kept a few "just in case" but don't seem to need them.

Been kilted in jail (on business), in court, boating, at funerals (and thanked for it by the families)...just what I wear now.

My belief, and fond hope, is that simple common sense, freedom, comfort, and fashion explorations will bring kilts to the fore.

I bought a nightstalker just for funerals. I'll probably increase the amount of time for kilt wearing as the amount of kilts increase. However, I'll probably never toss out all my pants. I'll need a suit for certain occasions. I have flannel lined jeans which I'm sorta partial to for winter wear. I use to wear a SWK for horseback riding but my wife bought me a new saddle which requires jeans because the stirrups pinch the inside of my legs. I even had to resort to half chaps to solve the problem. Pants will always figure into my equation. Now I have to go wash my mouth out.
