    The new kilt arrived!

    Hey All-

I received my SWK Black Watch Standard today in the mail. I have to say that I was impressed by their prompt shipment. It is, however in need of a touchup pressing so I will have to wait to post pics of the Kilt and the Hand-crafted sporran until after the heat wave here subsides. It's just too stinkin' hot to slave over an ironing board right now. It's about 101 degrees in the house right now (no a/c). I will be wearing this one to the Pleasanton games.

Ray (the Moore/Muir/Campbell thingy, related, you know, OH it's just too hot!)

Let us know how you like it! I am interested in maybe getting a SWK standard (for the price) or wool heavyweight.

I've been happy with my SWK "Nightstalker" standard. Not a bad kilt at all for the money. What's this sporran you speak of?? I really REALLY want that brown "Rob Roy" Buzz Kidder sporran they have right now. But, I had to painfully decide which I wanted.

    A. Rob Roy sporran, oatmeal hose, and brown kilt belt
    B. USAK Ireland's National and matching flashes

As seen by my other post..... B. won

    Pressing

I just hung mine on the door when I took a shower and everything came right into line. Even hanging overnight after packing it in a suitcase it came right into shape. If you don't have a kilt hanger with the big clips; use two of the cheap two clip plastic hangers (if you're married or have a girlfriend you'll find them in the big side of the closet by the dozens). I use one on the front (apron) and one on the back (pleats) it is cheap (free) and works well. O'Neille

You're from the East Bay? Well check out our monthly Kil NIghts, where a number of X Marks members show up at the Devils Canyon Brewery in San Carlos, last Friday of every month.

We're hoping to have an X Marks tent at the Pleasanton Games, so be sure to look for us!

Thanks O'Neille and pic for Tattoobradley

Thanks for that tip-I will have to form a recon mission to the nether regions of the closet for a pair of hangers.

The sporran-I found after much searching a pattern for a 1750-1780 Regimental sporran and did my take on it in black bison hide. still needs the magnetic clasp installed but fairly complete otherwise. Hope that this pic comes out OK for all to view.

(edit) Alan, I am keeping the last friday open for Kilt Night. Hope to see you there!(end edit)
