Number Nine
Arrived today!
Now I probably should have pressed the shipping out of it, but I put it on as soon as I could get my suit off today, and haven't taken it off since.
This Freedom kilt is cut to fit where ordinary trousers would ride and accomodates ordinary belts only, per the spec. It fits the most like trousers than any of the other casual kilts I have. After having to hike up all my other kilts (including the UKs), it took me a few minutes to figure this out. The length somehow turned out perfect, despite my insecurities about taking my own measurements. Steve's online measuring instructions are spot on.
This kilt also comes with a slight adjustment for the natural tilt of the hips, resulting in a beautifully level bottom edge. I don't recall if I actually specified this, but it's perfect. How did you know, Steve?
This is a beautiful kilt, the most like the traditionals that I now have and still able to go in the wash. The color is fantastic, and now I can pull a whole mess o' coordinating shirts out of my closet that have been mothballed (well, not literally), since I gave up pants* after hours.
I can tell already it will take a favored position over my UKs.
Thanks, Steve!
Regards,
Rex in Cincinnati

A nice look!
I really think Steve has a strong offering with the "business" look kilts in the traditional cut but solid color. Have a dress model FK on order in (gasp) Maroon...but I think it will work...sort of one tartan color in a traditional cut...
Really appreciate you sharing the pic of the navy.

Great looking kilt Rex (and great work Steve)! The one solid color I am missing from my kilt wardrobe is one in navy. I have been trying to decide what I am going to get, and it looks like Steve has the best option for one in navy that also will be perfect for the office. UK does not make a navy kilt, Jeff is out of business, and Rocky and Kelly stick to tartans. Hmmh, did I just talk myself into a FK? That wasn't so hard after all...
