    Anticipation

Today I sent my 4 some yards of double width "Rob Roy Movie" clothe off to Matt Newsome. Its an early 50th birthday gift for me, from me.
He is going to make a traditional box-pleated kilt out of 1/2 the clothe.
I think it should look fantasic for this early style of tailored kilt, nice muted
colors. This will be my second tailored kilt, and my second box-pleat.
Here is a picture of the clothe.

Is there a tartan for "GREEN with envy?" I'm jealous. Hope 2cu in a pic soon
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

Hi Morrison! I've had this clothe for 5 years and have worn it as a belted plaid. I wanted a new kilt and I had the clothe on hand so I did it.
I really like the colors and it should make a very nice box-pleat.
The older style the better for me.
I must say that I didn't get the clothe because of the movie, I purchased it for it's older look.

Thanks, I think I'll have it pleated to the blue.

I think so also, Matt Newsome does top-notch work.

Nice! - I've always loved that tartan. I'll look forward to seeing it in it's finished form. I also have some cloth sitting around and have been tempted to do the same thing.

    Hi Allen,
I've been wearing this as a belted-plaide. If you got the clothe already its much cheaper I guess. I'm going to use the other 4 yards and make a
    early philabeg, mid-18th century!
