    16oz polyvis?

I seem to recall Rocky having a thread about finding a source for 16oz polyvis fabric some time back. I was browsing the kilts on EBAY (wishful thinking, no cash) and came upon this. It isn't a fabric source, but I question whether it is true or not. It was from Scottish heritage Kilts I think

This is an excellent first purchase kilt, ideal for the Football, Rugby Games, Scouts, or simply fashion wear.

Material length is 5 yards, 16oz heavy weight poly viscose material.

All our kilts come with a regular length of 24" which can be hemmed by an alterations tailor (we don't do this)

As far as I can find, this is NOT Poly Viscose. The kilts are Pakistani kilts and are acrylic or wool blend kilts that claim to be PV, but really aren't. None of the companies that sell "16 oz PV" kilts are willing (or able) to tell me what mill makes the material. I have searched every mill I can find in several different countries and tracked down every lead that XMARKERS have given me. None of them can send me a swatch of the "16 oz PV material" and the ones that HAVE sent me swatches of "PV" material really aren't pv, but some acrylic blend. I have received swatches from all over the world and none of them are really PV except 2 mills that I already deal with that make 11 oz PV.

The offer I made almost a year ago still stands... if anyone can find me a MILL that makes 16 oz PV (REALLY PV, and not some weird acrylic or wool blend), they'll get a Casual USAK for free.

Thanks, Rocky, I wasn't trying to get the free kilt. It was just that the statement did not seem true to me, and I was curious what you and others thought about the add.

If anyone can find out where this company gets their kilts or where the material is made, please let me know!
