    oh great

So, my great aunt has done a lot of work over the years tracing our family's geneology. One branch she's traced back to the early 8th century (yes, eighth). This is, as many of you know, bad news for the pocketbook, as I've found numerous Scottish names littered throughout.

Another that struck me, as I've admired the Welsh Cilts lately, Rev. Robert Owen, born 1672 in Wales. So now I'm going to be wanting an Owen Welsh Cilt at some point as well - in addition to the MacPherson, Stuart, and various other connections ><

Eighth century? That's amazing. Your aunt has done a lot of hard work.

    Aye cousin,

I come from a long line of Welsh Bowens....the Owen/Bowen line seems to be a well documented one...Have mine back four generations beyond Griffith Bowen from Langenith, Gower, South Wales born about 1600...only have his great grandfather's name who would have been born around 1500.
