BC Tartan kilt from USA Kilts

I have no idea if this will work since I haven't done it before. Not getting it right is part of the reason I haven't even tried up now (the other part is sheer slothfulness). I apologize in advance if any of your monitors spontaneously combust. More time hasn't improved my looks any, and there wasn't much to work with to begin with. Let's give it a whirl, shall we?

I acquired some wool BC tartan remnants from Gordon Kirkbright at Fraser and Kirkbright about six months ago. Being fairly new to the whole kilt experience, I sat back and read various comments, critiques, etc on X Marks for a while before deciding on Rocky and Kelly at USA Kilts. After a number of emails back and forth with Rocky I sent the material off. About four weeks later, I had a call from my US dropship place that I had a package in. Could only have been one thing. The jonesing started immediately and didn't let up for about ten days, the first opportunity I had to go down across the border. This is what I found.

It is a USA semi-traditional. Of the four tartan kilts I have (this, one Bear casual, one Stillwater casual, one Stillwater wool) it is, by far, my favourite tartan kilt. Whichever one of the two built it, they did a magnificent job.

It is extremely comfortable. There is plenty of swish to the pleats. They made it exactly to the measurements provided.

I know the belt isn't appropriate. I don't have a brown kilt belt yet, so I made do with this. I'm also unsure of a co-ordinating colour for this kilt. I went with the Bills Khakis twill shirt, figuring beige goes with everything (at least the builders of my house thought so). I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I reiterate everything mentioned on this site previously. Rocky is a pleasure to deal with. The customer service is great and the kilt is outstanding. I heartily endorse these fine folks if anyone is unsure about getting something from them.

    Thanks Rocky and Kelly.

It is a good looking tartan. Rocky & Kelly have pleased yet another customer.

And the images came out fine, although a resize on them wouldn't hurt. For future reference, I usually recommend something around 480 pixels by 640 pixels, for use on a forum.

    Very nice!...reason to smile

You can downsize pictures with windows "paint"....select "stretch/skew" 30 or 40% is mostly a nice format.

Do it before you upload and the upload time is faster.

    Holy Pixels Robin!

I use Infranview which you can download for free. Resize under Image on their tool bar.

'tis a beautiful tartan though. I've wondered if one summer with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets at Comox, B.C. in 1960 and a cousin in Powell River, B.C. entitles me to wear the B.C. tartan kilt

Beautiful tartan and great lookign kilt! Although I have 4 USAK's and know aout Rocky and Kelly's work. Just one suggestion, SMILE, you should be happy to be wearing a new kilt. And your daughters in the background seem to be happy. Feed on their enegry.
