What kind of shoes do you wear?

I'm trying to figure out what to wear under my kilts in a casual-dress setting. For hanging out at the pub, I would wear a t-shirt, my ebay black watch, a pair of black army socks, and a pair of Doc Martens. I've found that I have some sweaters (jumpers for the Queen's English speakers) that would go nice with a solid OD kilt, but I'm not sure about the foot wear. It would make a nice outfit for Sunday wear. What about just running around town. The pub setup might come across a bit intimidating - too much of a bad boy look. Hmm..it boggles the mind. It was much simpler in my jeans and T-shrt days.

I wear everything from hiking boots, leather sandals, flip-flops (thongs), packers style cowboy boots, combat boots, knee-high pirate boots, police boots, dress shoes, and sneakers with my kilts.

As long as the footweat matches the mood of the outfit, and the colors work together, you can weat almost anything.

I wear Converse high tops (commonly also called "Chuck Taylors"), usually my all black canvas ones. These are most recently shown here in the Hartwell games pics, though most probably never even noticed. I like them, because they are narrow and fairly tightly cut around the ankle. Thus, there is "less bulk" down below, unlike when I wear my other "casual" shoes.

For a casual dress shoe I wear Romeos with hose and flashes. These are not for padding around the house; they're rugged and have seen any miles.

I wear these with my kilts the majority of the time. In fact, I even wore them in place of Ghillies for my wedding.
