    prince charlie jacket fit advise

Just got my new PC..and want to make sure it is fitting right.

is the front of the jacket ( where buttons would be on a business suit) supposed to touch, overlap, or not come close?

thanks for the help! I'm really new to the formal PC usage o' the kilt...

Although you do not button them the button should close and give about 1-2" of breathing room. Unbottoned it should stay open enough to reveal 2-3" of waistcoat. Your jacket may or may not have a breast button. Some do and some will use a button chain to keep the jacket from flapping around. Mine came with one but I've never used it.

There ya have it. Don't worry just make sure it is pressed and buy a lint roller. O'Neille

looks like I'll need to have it tailored...the front overlaps a bit.

Take a picture with a contrasting white shirt so we can see. Take one standing relaxed, one with shoulders back and one or two reaching. The jacket should fit snugger than a standard suit jacket but not be tight. 46" is kind of a crossover size when they give them a little more room for bellies. O'Neille
