    Talking RKilt on Order

After a little discussion with Robert and some of fine our fellow members I now have an Rkilt on order. Starting to get that new kilt feeling again and I do like it. It's a chocolate brown heavy cotton of sorts and an apron of same colour. I've been needing a good knock-around solid work kilt for ages and this'll be the ticket. Thanks to all who helped with information about the rkilts, and especially Robert who is a gentleman entirely.
How long now Robert? (Look at me, kid in a lolly shop. I can't wait)
    Erin.

Good news Erin, I'll be interested to know how the material performs. So far I've personally not seen anything apart from wool that is as comfortable as hemp, of course that restricts choice of colour to black. So I'm very interested in a report from you when you get it.

It will be well made, of that I am sure!

Cheers Graham and I'll be sure to give my full review. That "hemp only comes in black" always reminds me of the model T Ford, "they can have any colour they want, so long as it's black". hah!

Actually, I think I am wrong, did not someone post about a white or off white hemp? Not my cuppa tea for work, it would get too dirty. Black is nice, but the brown sounds good too. Hope the wait isn't too painful.

I believe you'll truly be impressed with the workmanship Rkilts is famous for. The heavy duty hardware he uses is unlike I've ever seen on any other kilt.

Actually, I also have an Rkilt on order which, I hope *fingers crossed*, arrives in time for Christmas vacation.

    Congrats on your purchase!

Yes the three of you will have your kilts before Christmas. I've encountered a couple of delays, one being my health as most of you know I have MS and it rears it's ugly head every once in awhile. Some of the leather kilts have been taking a little longer due to some new and improved construction techniques. and machinery that in the long run will have a major payback on time. The shop is a humming with me going from one sewing machine to the next.
What some of you may not know is that I do all the work myself. I make all the leather straps. I sew each and every kilt that I sell. I go out and shop for the best hardware, hand pick the leather hides and make sure I get the best quality fabric that goes in every RKilt.
This year I did twice as many shows and that cut into production time. As a result I'm sorry to say I am behind on the orders.
I will though do my best on the making of every kilt. I'm having a blast doing it.
Just sorry I'm having to make you wait.
    Cheers
    Robert

........ This is why R-Kilts are singularly special in the modern style of kilt.... and well worth the wait.

Not a problem Robert, now I'm twice as excited about the forthcoming kilt, but half as impatient. So where does that leave me?!

Down under!! (Graham falls of his chair laffing)
Hey Robert, sorry to hear the 'ol devil' has raised it's head again. I truly admire the work you achieve even with your disability.

Don't stress over my kilt, I can wait since I already have one. I'm just being greedy! Look after Erin and Blu first, they have yet to experience a hemp kilt!
