    New Cavscout Belt

Just received a new belt from Cavscout with matching sporran straps. They are Chestnut red and the craftsmanship is superb. Well done Cavscout!

I'm wearing my SWK Saffron kilt. The sporran doesn't match the color of the belt, but it is one that I made over the weekend. It just needs to have the magnetic catch installed on the flap.

This is sporran #2 and it was easier than #1 (welsh dragon). I'm working next on a belt and sporran straps that match the color of the sporran. Meanwhile, I have another sporran with more red in it to match the belt.

    Thanks Cavscout.

The sporran looks really good, as does the belt, and the kilt.

Hey, that looks just like this, right down to the beltmaker
    Great minds, etc.

To repeat a word of warning on belt measuring, though. Measure waist size for a belt over your kilt or you risk ending up with a lot of extra holes. Holes can always be added as you shrink or grow, but they can't be subtracted.

    New Saffron Tie!

Yesterday it was the belt and sporran straps from Cavscout (can't say enough good things! They are super)

Tonight in the mail I received the Saffron Tie I ordered from SWK. It is a perfect match for the kilt.

I persuaded my wife to take a couple more pictures, one with my lovat green jacket and one without, to show the belt and tie better. Tonight I have a different sporran also. This one was off ebay. Not very expensive, but it matches the color of the belt and straps very closely (chestnut brown).

The Officer and Civilian Spouses Club is having their Christmas Bazaar this weekend on post and I probably will wear the outfit with the jacket. That should be good for a few comments from folks I know and perhaps from those I don't know yet. I'll try to get some pics.

Just a side note, but important to me, Sunday as we were walking from the car to the PX, my wife commented that I always seem bigger when wearing a kilt. I'm 6' 2" and she is about 5'4''. I guess she is getting to like the kilt more.

Thanks for all the kind comments on my previous posting.
