    Kilt appreciation in Northridge.

So, my girlfriend and I went down to So. Cal as she has never been and we could visit a friend of mine. My friend had been giving me crap about my kilts since I told him I had been wearing them for awhile now. As the three of us were enjoying our Starbucks' coffee and Western bagels in Northridge, an attractive woman walked up to us and began asking about my kilt, a Utilikilt corduroy in tan, and how she had not seen anyone wearing one before. She said she really liked it and hoped it would catch on in So. Cal., and then she said that she hoped she didn't mind her saying this, but that I was obviously a real man for wearing it. I couldn't have set that one up better myself!

With the exception of my mother-in-law, I have never had anything but compliments from the ladies.

    Jeez Rooster,

Don't start another earthquake in Northridge!

    Very cool story.

I'm down the road from you in the canyonlands. Welcome.

The new tan corduroy is my new favorite. I just wish they made them in more colors other than red and electric blue.

Yeah, I remembered cord pants from when I was a kid and never even gave a cord kilt a thought. That was until the Ren fair at the U.K. booth where my girlfriend found one and couldn't stop petting it as it was so soft...so I bought one!
