Kilted at the Parade
Today the whole family watched the regional Veteran's Day parade. There I was in the "carhart" UK workmans and due to several favorable comments my son ran home and put on a Wallace tank. To our astonishment there was even a pipe band in the parade. My son wears a kilt periodically and he is appreciating them more and more---he is 15 and he has picked up on the fact that girls/women dig the kilt but the remarks from some "guys" are still hard on him. Mrs. Rob took the ladies' comments in stride and with pride. After the parade, a retired Navy Chief with hashmarks up to his elbow, who had been marching, asked about kilts and I told him about the Navy tartan. A good day to honor all veterans.

At the parade in our town today, I was the only one in a kilt other than those in the pipe bands. I thought I might possibly see one or two others... but nope.
Well... maybe next year.
