Today's Court sitting finished early enough to enable me to call in at Dryburgh Abbey on my way home. The Abbey was founded around 1150 and was largely destroyed by the English in the 16th century, but thanks to the Earl of Buchan in the late 18th century, and later Historic Scotland, the remains have been conserved. The area where I am standing would have been inside the original Church. Nave
