1st kilt pin
I read somewhere, maybe here, that the first kilt pin was given by Queen Victoria to a soldier during an inspection when his kilt was flapping so much as to expose him. She removed her brooch & pined it to the apron of his kilt.
Questions: Is this a true story Who was the solider? What has been the fate of this first kilt pin?
