It all depends on the occassion, however with the Prince Charlie he has on I would say tux shirt and bow tie.

With that jacket, he needs a tux shirt and bowtie. Here's a pic of my nephew from my wedding, for reference. Wait until you see how great Sean looks in the complete outfit.

Agreed. Tux shirt and bowtie. However, that is one cute kid and he seems to be enjoying the kilt!

While I agree with everyone that the PC should go with tux shirt and bow tie, it seems Sean is pretty young, depending on how long the event he is going to is, I think at times it is OK to buck traditions so that Sean is comfortable (and dare I say happy) all night instead of making him miserable if he doesn't want to wear the tie and tux shirt. Just my humble opinion.

Is he the ringbearer or actually in the wedding party in some way? If so, then he should match the party. If not, then why do the jacket at all? let the guy wear his kilt and the jacobite shirt and call it good.....unless it's outdoors of course, and he'll freeze his buns off.

Thanks, P. He was four years old at the time. I love that picture. His kilt and his belt and his hose are slipping, and his shoe is untied, but he's still a kilted guy with a cute blonde on his arm, isn't he? The smile says it all.
Scottish will always love the pics of his little guy, too. I'm sure of it.
