I would say for the same money go for a Stillwater at least people here have had positive things to say about them regarding quality.
I am not sure about the company that makes that kilt.

It's a Pakistani wool blend kilt. The colors in the tartan are very "vivid" (imagine someone turning up the "color" setting on your TV) and there is little taper to the hips. Also, the length is a standard 24" and all of the other items from this seller are ones that we are offered from Pakistani companies on a daily / weekly basis. Not a bad buy for $45 if that's the type of kilt you're looking for.

There is always the temptation to go with a quick fix. The quick, cheap, fast route can also become habit forming. If that fits your needs then by all means go for it. But I think there is a better way.

    My suggestion....

Put the $45 back in your pocket and walk the other way. For less $$ than what a pakaday smoker will burn to ashes in cigarettes in a month - added to your $45, you can buy a kilt with some taper and swing in it. You, and those who have to look at you, will be much happier with the results.

    Resistance is not futile.

Hm. Without knowing your personal proclivities, your financial status, etc., it's hard to give sound advice to suit you personally.

I think that Blu's right, though. If you are making an investment--and a kilt is an investment if you're buying a good one--then wait a bit. If 45 bucks in little or nothing to you, then, by all means, get it and have fun. But just know that it's not a really nice kilt--just an OK kilt. And if that's all you really care about, then it's your money.

However, the satisfaction of a well-made kilt is rarely surpassed. (Maybe when your child/grandchild is born, when you first fall in love, etc.) USAK or SWK might be a better choice. And Rocky lives about these parts.

Wow, just looked. I have a Scottish National kilt and that one is WAY brighter than the colors in mine. Looks almost neon. And why is the picture shown in such a wierd orientation? Anyway, save your money and get a SWK instead. You will be much happier. And the seller is fairly new, only 120 feedback.

If you wanted a kilt to beat up, you know, wash the car in, do heavy events at the Games in, then fine.

If you want a kilt to wear and look sharp in, then I'd wait, saveanother $40 - $50 and buy a Stillwater Standard if you're going for the more traditional look, or a USA Kilts casual if you want something lightweight and easy.

Cheap **** kilts are Ok for lounging around the house and garden or for going to the shops on a wet day, but if you want something that you will feel and look good in, then save up for a traditional wool kilt.
