Kilt making classes

Is there anywhere in the OKC area that offers classes on sewing/creating kilts. I managed to sew one together for my son. It's nothing like a professionally built one. I sewed pleats in the back and then put velcro on the front aprons.

But I'd really like to find someone who can teach me teh real way

Do a google search for Elsie Stuehmeyer. She holds classes all over N. America.

Also, you may be interested in attending Kilt Kamp 2007. We will sponsor a 5 day Traditional Kiltmaking course taught by Barb Tewksbury.

If your not familiar with Elsie and Barb they are the authors of "The Art of Kiltmaking". The standard referance on Traditional Kiltmaking.

Barb is a member here, although she also has a part time job doing some other thing.
