Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
So, when Nikki and I moved from our old apt to our new home the end of November, I promptly changed my Ebay/Paypal info. And, I freaking KNOW I made the new address my primary.
Well, last week I do a buy it now for a $6 Saltire license plate. Been checking the mail the last couple of days cause it was supposed to come Priority. Not too concerned, nothing to get my pleats in a bunch over. Well, tonight I'm poking around Ebay and stumble across a Scottish National PV one size "too big" but it's only $20. So, I figure if it absolutely falls off I can just have Nikki move the straps in a bit. No big deal, heck it's a $20 kilt. So, I bid and win. Well, when I go to Paypal the seller I notice that Ebay is confirming my shipping address with me, and it's showing...
MY OLD FLIPPING ADDRESS@!!!??!?!?!?!
GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!
So, I go in and make the new address (which IS there, just not set to "primary") my primary (AGAIN.)
Then it hits me... I didn't catch this when I bought the license plate. So, I know that since it was defaulting me to the old apt address, the seller for the plate surely shipped it there. I'm waiting to hear back from him confirming such. Hopefully the new apt dwellers will "return to sender" and I can get the plate. Or maybe the guy will feel sorry for me and just ship another one. Who knows.
I did however shoot an email to kilt seller double checking the shipping address was given to her correctly.
Not happy.

If it was sent via USPS, the address correction will catch it.

I had an email from Ebay yesterday telling me not to complete a transaction as the item (ghillie brogues for a friend) had been withdrawn:
"Please be aware that the following Fixed Price listing:
Item Number - 130065244636
Item Title - Gents Ghillie Shoes All Sizes Leather Brand New 4 kilt
has been removed by eBay for breaching of one or more of our policies. Any offers or bids placed on this Fixed Price listing are now null and void. We advise you not to finalize this transaction with the seller. As stated in the eBay User Agreement, neither seller nor buyer should engage in transactions that breach the law or eBay policy.
Please review eBay's Prohibited and Restricted Items guidelines and User Agreement at the following locations:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/item_allowed.html
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policie...agreement.html
We thank you in advance for your cooperation."
I could not find ghille brogues on the list of prohibited items nor find what policy had been so transgressed and emailed them back to tell them it was too late as the items had been paid for and supplied.
When I checked the sellers shop for the supplier (who had over 4000 positive feedbacks) every item had been removed!
I wonder what is going on? I doubt that Ebay will ever tell me!

McClef, I'm pretty sure that the seller was found to be guilty of misrepresenting their product. Even if the buyers are happy, if the products sold are not "as advertised," ebay moves against them and takes everything off the site. (At lest, that's my understandin of their policy.)
I bought somethin from a seller one time only to find that they told me I didn't have to pay if I didn't want to. Turns out, some of their stuff was not what it was supposed to be--not actually "make in Scotland, I believe"--so they pulled the whole store's inventory off the site.
It's ebay's way of trying to protect the consumer the best they can.
Tattoo, as to addresses, I've found that I have to check closely as well.

So it's not necessarily the item I bought that was itself the problem...
Will have to see if Ebay and the supplier resolve their differences.

Well, I've got a forwarding in with the USPS. Hoping that it will work and I'll get my plate. I'm glad I caught the address malfunction for the kilt though... I would have been hopping mad over that.
As far as Ebay pulling all of a a seller's item: it could be a number of things. One "error" on behalf of the seller and the account goes into pergatory.
