Hello all. I'm a few minutes new to this community and thought I'd introduce myself.

My name is Rikk, I'm married with a 20 month old little boy named Nicholas. (my only child) I'm 35 and still think I'm 19 and as most who know me can attest to, am a pretty easy to get along with. Live and let live.

Other than my family my main love is rugby and motorcycles. 6 years ago I started playing rugby and (something I'm very proud of) received the new player of the year trophy at 30 years of age I was the oldest of a the 8 rookies that season, the youngest being 18. I started at hooker and will retire at hooker hopefully in about 20 years. I play tightside prop when required, but I will always be a hooker.

As I mentioned above one of my other hobbies is motorcycles. I've got 6 at last count plus my race machine. When I'm not riding, working on or restoring one of my daily driver bikes, I'm working on my vintage roadracer, a 1971 Honda CB350 that I will race on the AHRMA circuit. I'm new at it and this next spring will be my first season as I just got my racing license this summer.

My job is the General Manager of a daycare.....er, machine shop and my background is in machining and mechanical engineering. I've been in the trade in one form or another for about 16 years or so. I do small machining jobs on the side for friends, but for the most part, I'm running a desk all day long.

Well, that is about all I can think off and probably more than you would like to know. However since I've wasted your time this long, assuming you've read it all...Thanks for having me and I'm looking forward to getting to know some of you.

Oops, I nearly forgot about the advice part.

I'm looking to purchase a kilt in the very near future, I'm not going to spend a lot of money on one since it's my first and would like to find a used one or at least an inexpensive one to keep it under $100 if possible. I want something to wear before on match day for the most part. I'm also spending St. Patrick's day in Chicago for the big parade, so I may wear it then too if I've found one. It just seems like the thing to do if one owns one. ANYWAY, I'm only 5'8" tall and will probably go with more of a modern low rise kilt and I was wondering about the sizing. I know for most they say to measure at or near the navel, but what about one that is worn lower on the hips? I know I can't trust my pants size, but I would like to know where to take an accurate measurement.

Thanks in advance for the help.
