Edinburgh's US Civil War Memorial

I came across a site that had a story about the Edinburgh monument to the Scots who fought in the Union Army. It seems that this is the only memorial outside the United States to those who lost their lives in the Civil War.

We stumbledd across this site when walking to Holyrood this past Christmas. Didn't know it was there ahead of time. Quite a moving memorial.

And to think I was at Holyrood only yesterday and didn't see it!

And I must have only been yards away!

It's just up the road (I forget the road's name) from Holyrood, maybe 300 yards if I recall correctly. More or less across the street from the US Embassy if that helps.
