Driving your customers nuts pt 2
You send an e-mail on Monday saying that the kilt on order is done WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY earlier than anticipated. Then you say you can't ship till Wed because you have to go to Toronto on Tuesday(what they don't have post offices in Toronto). Then the kilt doesn't magically appear right after you get the tracking number.
Yep happened to me. My Putty R-kilt is on it's way, and I want it now. Curse Robert for getting it done early and then sending it to me. I want my kilt now, I want my kilt now, I want my kilt now. If I keep checking the tracking number every hour it will get here faster right?
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

What you didn't know was on Monday night all roads around Stratford were closed due to a snow storm, My train to Toronto was cancelled, on Tuesday roads were closed all day. Wednesday more problems....but managed to get the kilt out.
Whats more torment is that tracking number will only tell you that it was accepted at the Stratford post office...so you will be checking for the next 6 business days

Prior to this little tet-a-tet I was thinking about installing a webcam in the shop so people could see their kilt being made. (Of course they could also see me sleeping on the layout table or sitting around drinking coffee and thinking deep kilt thoughts.)
Now however I have re-considered. If I had a webcam every one of you would be calling me all day and kibitzing. Now that I know what is in your twisted minds I think I'll just lock the door, unplug the phone, turn off the lights, and hide in the bathroom.

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

Psst - here's a suggestion (but don't tell anyone): Install the Webcam and run a continuous looped tape of you frantically slaving away cutting and stitching kilts day and night.
heh heh ;)
