Here is a 4 week till Kilt Kamp update.
Attendees!
I have the list of those who have expressed interest but would EVERYONE who is still planning on coming PLEASE re-confirm via e-mail.
I'd like to firm up the attendance roster so we can plan work space and supplies.
Accommodations!
Barb will fly in to Seattle on Wed and I will pick she and her husband up and bring them over on the Victoria Clipper.
For others coming some accommodations have been arranged.
We have one person camping out in our backyard.
Barb and her family will be staying in our suite.
We still have a sofa bed available and have arranged with a neighbor across the street who has two rooms available if you have not found a hotel.
Anyone still needing accommodations please let me know.
Kilt Night!
We have finalized the arrangements with the local celtic band Kitangas for Kilt Night. We have the room booked at the Fernwood Inn which is just across the street from the shop.
When; Fri. 22 June
Dinner beginning around 7:00
The band will start after everyone has had a chance to finish dinner.
The room seats 60 and will be open to the public to join us.

General -
There will be a BIG pot of coffee available all day in the shop.
We will bring in Timmys donuts and munchies for those who miss breakfast.
We are arranging gift certificates for each days lunch from some neighborhood shops.

Hints & Tips on machine sewn kilts with Steve
Hints & tips on working with Regimental weight fabrics with Robert McDonald of West Coast Kilts. (Rob has 22 years of military kiltmaking and has promised to show us how to do Regimental Box Pleats.)
Gordon Kirkbright from Fraser & Kirkbright Weaving Co. as agreed to give us some insight to weaving Tartans.
Dinner will be a backyard cookout at Steve & Bobbie's house (Weather permitting. If not, we'll make a big pot of spaghetti eat off paper plates so everyone can spill on Bobbie's carpet. )
Sunday the 24th -

Hints & Tips on the math of Tapering by Steve
There will be lots of different kilts available in the shop for your review of different kilt styles and different kiltmakers. (Note to kiltmakers - If you would like to send a sample of one of your kilts please contact me via e-mail. This will be a great place to have your kilt in front of people.)
In the afternoon we will make some time available for those who would like to see some of the sights of Victoria. Steve is offering a guided tour of the Royal BC Museum to any who would like to see this world class museum. The temporary exhibit is Titanic-The artifact exhibit!
There will be a chance to sightsee and shop in Victoria.
Monday the 25th -
Classes continue. Everyone should be putting the finishing touches on their kilts. We will then make you put it on and show it off.
Tuesday the 26th -
We say good bye to our new friends, get those who need a ride to the airport, and wave to the others as they drive away.
