Unscientific poll: 2 out of 3 cars prefer kilts

Yesterday being such a beautiful day, I decide to attempt a little yard work (I say attempt, because I have let my front yard go so much in the last 2 years that I think I need to till and start again). So I'm in my blue denim UK (cause I still don't have my new RK - where is that stupid post man), and I hadn't been outside for 5 min when the first car passes. The exchange (all without the car slowing):
Young (18-20) male passenger leaning out the window, sarcastically, "Nice skirt."

    Me,"Thanks, but it's a kilt."

Him shouting halfway up block at stop sign, "Why don't you bend over and show me your ***".

Me, as they drive away, "Sorry you're not my type."

I turn around and see an older guy walking up the street. I don't know this guy at all, but we both laugh, and he says, "you know their ancestors probably wore kilts."

Now I could stop the story here, and it would be a good example of as bad a reaction I have ever had in 6 years (sure the F****t word has been tossed, but still only from a moving car, ans as someone who's confident in his sexuality it really doesn't bother me). but then it continued.

About 3 min later, another car passes. This time the passenger is female but still about 18-20. I get a whisltle and a, "Hey sexy, look at those legs, nice kilt," and then she is gone.

Finally about 10 min later another car turns around in the alley beside my house. The female driver (early 40's) with her husband (ok a guy) in the car says, "looking good Irish" as she backs back into the street.

Shortly there after I gave up on the yard Anyone got a roto-tiller I can borrow?

haha, that's awesome, Adam. Once again, the good outweighs the bad by far.

2 out of 3 cars, and two out of two women (and zero out of one man) in cars... perhaps another trend?

I'm sure there's someone here who can do a regression analysis for us... but not me - it makes my head hurt!

Nice Adam. And hey, the yards gone almost 2 years, it can wait a bit longer.

The other day, going to the bank. Some dipstick shouts out of his car window a long string of profanities.

I told him to get out of his car and say it to my face. His car is parked in the road, the light is red. I move toward the car just a bit.

He loses his nerve and stammers a bit, and manages to get out "F*** no I aint stupid!" Light changes, he drives away.

I totally can't help my self, I darn near die laughing. I had to sit down on the flowerbed wall at the Landmark Building to catch my breath.

I so can relate to that it has happened to me one time, and when I say what and head toward them (they didn't know that a policeman was behind them the way I was headed), they just leave fast and give me a one finger salute. Safety behind the vehicle.

Oh yes my car prefers Kilts.

Obviously the women were complimentary and the guys in the first car so jealous that the only thing they could do was fling insults. It's their loss - they won't draw the compliments from women that you did.

    Good work.

Interesting stories, Adam and Dread. Yes you get the occasional immature insecure young guys in cars who like to seek attention, then once they get it they ain't so keen.

It's always nice to see that even if we get these comments from eejits, we still get the atention from the women to balance it all out.
