I sold my body to science to get a kilt.

It's pretty much exactly what the title says. I participated in a clinical trial at Emory University and they paid me for it. I plan on using it ($50) to get a new SWK Black Watch Economy. I had actually planned this from the start. So essentially I sold my body (temporarily) for the sake of science, all to get a new kilt. For the record, i'll probably be doing it again.

So, for those of you interested, here's the details. I was part of a study that was testing analytical software for MRIs that is currently in use on adults but not FDA approved on children. I was simply a control subject in the test. I had an hour long MRI where they took both pictures and movies of my heart. There were some where I had to hold my breath out but otherwise it was a relaxing but somewhat loud experience. The doctors doing the study said they would email me photos and maybe even one of the movies here eventually.

    Let the Jonesing begin!!!

    Brilliant!

Now wondering if I could peddle some of my various body fluids for kilt money....probably too olde....what do they pay for blood now? Always gave it away before...but now that it could be for kilt money....hmmmmm

WEll, Nate, I am proud to have you as a neighbor. (I live in Conyers.)

You are a helluva guy, and I just know that you are going to love that kilt. In fact, we can't wait to see it--pics or in person.

And since you are so close by, you simply must plan to come to Conyers for Tartan Day on April 6 for a little celebration. First drink's on me, and, if we can get a few folks to commit, we'll have haggis!

I need a new belt from Cavscout. Reckon what I could get for a . . .oh, never mind.

100 dollars a week selling plasma.

That's one very nice kilt a month. Or two Freedom Kilts, which are especially nice. A hemp RKilt. About 3 USAK casuals. A USAK simi-trad, complete with flashes and the hurry the heck up charge. six or seven Stillwater economy models. About 15 or 16 pairs of decent kilt hose. (20 bucks a pop) A couple of sporrans. A couple of Belly Bonnets. About 40 six packs of Guinness or Woodchuck. *urp*

And just think of all the lives you save!

I tried that once, didn't work... science just kept laughing. I can still hear it echoing down the hallway.

I bet if I tried selling my body to science they'd demand a refund.

You're a better man than I; $50.00 bucks wouldn't do it for me. I'll be the nozzle man on an interior attack, rappel out of helicopters, dive a blackwater river at midnight, and don body armor and back up a SWAT team, but spending an hour crammed into that tight little steel tube with my arms popping out of their sockets (the only way I fit) with the walls too close for my eyes to focus while large trolls hammer on the outside....not without 15 mg Valium, dose to effect.
