Why no picture?
So...I finally got my act together and went kilted to a black tie event last Saturday...got to wear that nifty waist jacket and the "bargain bunny sporran" (from kiltmart...pretty nice for the $'s...I was pleasantly suprised).
And why no picture?
Hey...whatcha gonna do when they come for you?
My wife observed that we didn't take a photo and that we should when we got home...and then I got caught in a speed trap driving home and was so p*ssed off that it went right out of my mind. The South Side of Chicago has a lot of industrial areas (mostly now abandoned and being converted to townhouses and condo's) and they built several impressive overpasses in these areas to accomodate railroad tracks and service roads. So what do you do when you're going up an overpass that's about four stories high? You gas it a bit to maintain a constant speed...and when you reach to top you take your foot off the gas because you're going downhill...which is where the cops are waiting with the radar gun and get you for going six miles and hour over the limit...on the last day of the month at 11:30 at night...get the picture?
So I'll restage the phot op...whatever.
Best

Speed traps? I thought they were out ticketing Jaywalkers at 11PM.
Seriously, at least in NY, I haven't run into a judge that would uphold a speeding ticket that was less than 10mph over the limit. They also get more money when it's 15mph over. Just fight it but don't wear your kilt to court. I got reprimanded years ago when I wore nice shorts and a dress shirt to court when it was 96 degrees in NC. Judge wasn't pleased and called me disrespectful to HIS court.

Fight it if you can. Make them show the calibration records for that particular radar.
It's been my experience that anything less than 12MPH "slop" will likely get thrown out.
This means if you were doing 51 in a 45, you stand a pretty good chance.
