    Wanted first generation camaro

Yea, it's not a kilt, but I promise to wear a kilt when I drive it.
Seriously, gotta call on your friends from time to time. So does anyone have for sale or know about a '67 - '69 Camaro for sale? Not a show stopper (unless it's grossly undervalued) just a good daily driver.

    Thanks
    David

Good luck, for some reason everybody seems to want those ugly nova rip offs.

My brother had a '67 Chevy II (Nova SS) and a '70 Camaro RS. I much prefer the 1st generation Camaro. Why not wait for the '08 Camaro? Looks based on the first generation and the prototypes look like they were as successful as Dodge and their new Challenger.

The 67 nova sucked. The main reason being GM pulled the body and re badged it camaro to compete with the rustsang. That model nova was then slapped together to put it back on the line. Thats why nova's and camaros can swap so many parts with each other.

Well, I've had a Nova SS and a Impala SS and a really kickin '70 Chevelle, so now it's time for a Camaro. The '08 will be a beast. If it was going to be a daily driver, and I didn't have teenagers in the house, it would be a consideration.
I will always drive a truck because I will always have dogs that want to go everywhere I go.
Kinda like asking why wear McDonald of the Isle hunting, cause I like it.
    Thanks for looking
    PM if you prefer

Actually, the similarities were between the '67 Camaro and the '68 Nova, not the '67 Chevy II. The platform was being designed for the '68 Nova release and ended up being rushed forward a year to get the Camaro on the market.

The '67 Chevy II may not seem like much to some, but trying to purchase a solid one today can be an extremely expensive venture. It would sure be nice to locate one of the alleged six that were built with the L-79 option. And we think kilts are expensive! Years ago, a friend and I did the cosmetic conversion to a '67 model, so as to better fit it into an NHRA S/S class as a '66 L-79. Those were the days that tried mens' souls.

Your right about the 67/68, I was half asleep when I posted that.

I've had 2 nova's (one a ss clone the other one real) a camaro RS, and a 454 ss truck. Those are my only ones worth bragging about beside my s-10 with a v8 that I still own. Chevelles are my favorite, I was born in the back seat of a 69 SS in the ER parking lot, lol. I wish I was alive back when real cars ruled the roads.

Forget about your Hemi's and your GTO's
I've got a new machine, and she really goes.
When I pass you up on the drag strip you'll know darn well
You've been beat by a porcupine V8 Chevelle

Taching it up now, you better be quick
Cus' nothing can outrun my SS 396.

There's lots of chrome goodies sitting under the hood
She looks real pretty, like a tough one should.
On the redline tires, she sits real mean
She's the coolest hot one... you've ever seen
Crusing the highways, getting my kicks
Everyone's checking out my SS 396

Look at her go (look at her go)
She sits real low (she sits real low)
    Dealer tires grip the road
Her deep breathing fours (deep breathing fours)
And they'll never settle short (never settle short)
Feel the rear end grab the load

Take you for a ride man, it's really a treat
Strap yourself into a bucket seat.
The four speed tranny is starting to whine
You'll know about the Super Sport
Once we get off the line

Crusing the highway, getting my kicks
    Nothing can match my...SS 396

lost all my cool pics of the '67 Impala when my hard drive crashed, but here's one i found:

Back in the days when one of my favorite bars, The Wrighwood Tap, was presided over by my all-time favorite bartender, Jimmy Davies, Jimmy always had a magazine called "The Robb Report" on hand. This mag listed all kinds of $$$$ properties that were for sale...estates, yachts, etc. Even the vehicles from the TV series "The Highwayman" showed up in The Robb Report...I think you'll find your Camaro in there. Have your checkbook ready.
