Back at last....

Yes, guys n' gals, after several weeks of severe computer problems, I am now restored to the real world of the Internet. I am grateful to my good pal Jim for advising you that I was silenced by technical matters which I did not (and still do not) understand. Suffice it to say that, in spite of his stirling efforts Jim was unable to save my PC, so I am now in possession of a brand-spanking new, rather expensive, all bells and whistles Hewlett-Packard Media Centre PC with wireless mouse and wireless keyboard, and a router capable, I understand, of running a Company!! I am still rather nervous of the set-up as almost everything is unfamiliar to me, especially as I have the new Vista thingammy to get used to as well. Unfortunately, I was unable to back-up and save everything on the old machine, and a few peripheral features are not compatable with Vista which will cause me some set-backs but, given time, I hope to be up to speed again in a few weeks.

It is great to be back but, with regret, I really am not going to have time to look at any threads or posts made in my absence prior to today. No doubt I have missed some gems, but such is life.

I am now looking forward to welcoming Robert (he of R-Kilts) and his father to Storrington. They fly in early on Tuesday morning for two and a bit days, before flying on to Holland to meet up with family and our very own Robin. Robert has made, and is delivering, my second R-Kilt and kilt No.76 in the Kilt Kollection - a gorgeous bronze leather creation. Photos will be posted here as soon as possible, of course!

Looking forward to being involved again with all that's good here - I have missed you all ......

Glad to see that your back. As for missing all of those posts may I say that you have not missed the really important ones, those of which come from you . Take care of our Robert as I'm sure you will. #76 , how many is enough?

Welcome home Hamish. Once you get used to Vista I think you'll like it. I've been playing with it for a couple months.
