Potomac Celtic Festival

Potomac Celtic festival. I just made my motel reservations in Leesburg (June 9th). Any of the NorVa guys attending this year? On another note, does anyone know why it has been reduced to just one day this year? I've always enjoyed the two day event. I could spend one day shopping and meeting some of the guys from Xmarks, and the next day, catch most of the entertainment.

I am planning on driving down for the day. I about an hour from home.

I tend to drive down from central PA each year for one day or another.......usually the Sunday.

Did you see how far the Alexandria games were moved?

My wife and I are planning on attending. I just checked their website and they do have a message posted explaining the whole situation. The event was actually cancelled completely back in Nov. I think but they were able to arrange a much scaled back affair. They had a rather large number of bands performing last year but this year there are only 4 on the schedule. I guess they have been running in the red the last few years and they finally ran out of money. Two of the four bands are ones we really enjoyed last year so I guess its worth a drive down rt.15.

I saw it. I passed by Sky Meadows state park quite often, driving from Amelia to visit my daughter when she attended Shenandoah University in Winchester.

The last couple years we've convened the Armstrong tent, but this year our AGM is in Greenville, SC the same weekend. Seeing how I'm VP my presence is required so we'll not be able to make it.

We will probably be going ourselves. Other than the heat we had a nice time last year. It would help if they'd get their schedule together and posted. Other than the new location and that letter everything seems to be from last year's festival.

Hope its a bit cooler this year.
