A possible kilted adventure...
I'm not sure if I want to do this, but I know if I don't say anything I'll regret opportunities missed.
Though normally a resident of Australia, I will be visiting the north-east of the US in two months time. Specifically, I fly into New York on the 25th June, will be visiting with quite a few friends from another forum on the 30th in Camden, New Jersey, and will be flying out from Chicago on the 6th. I intend to spend several days in and around NY, and at least one in Philly, D.C., Pittsburgh and Chicago.
I intend to be kilted at least part of the time - not the least of which because of the stir I will create on the 30th. However, whilst I haven't been part of this community long enough to have learnt many names, let alone made many friendships, I'd be happy to have a drink or a coffee (depending on the hour) with some fellow X-Markers - if for no other reason than to get a bit of a resident's view of the place as well as a tourist's view.
Anyone up for that? I'd be a lone tourist, BTW, as I'm separated.
Wade.

I live just north of Chicago, over the border in Wisconsin. If I'm here, you could go for food with Skweres and I. He lives 5 minutes from me.

I don't live in NYC anymore, but if you're doing the tourist thing, I strongly recommend the top deck at the Empire State Building. And if you do it, spring the extra few bucks for the MP3 player with the audio tour on it -- it's full of fun and fascinating little facts about the building, and the things you can see from the observation deck.

I would never let a fellow kiltie from another country visit my city without joining up for a dram.....except that at that time I'll be er...well, in another country meeting up with other kilties for a dram.
I'll be in Scotland but there are other DC area kilties around that I'm sure will step up to the plate. ![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif) ![Cheers!](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_beer.gif)
