fancy phone advice?
Gents, ladies, kids, kiddettes (cadets?):
For most of my life, a phone has been a phone. Now I've got a cell phone, and I still use it like, well, a phone. But as much time as I spend running from one side of Houston to another, I think it's time to look into a phone with "all the luxuries." (e-mail, text, photos, etc.)
Any comments on what to look for, what to run from? My friend Zach in Kyrgyzstan says to get a Treo and never look back. I'm just looking for more "good word" as they say.
Can anyone help me?

I have the Motorola Q. Except for its rather small keyboard and learning period to become an adept user, (you really MUST pay close attention to detail when using it) I've no major complaints. It's a portable - pocket size computer. It can do nearly everything online that a laptop can do. Air time can cost more than it's worth to you. Possibly consider a not quite as fancy digital cellphone that does MMS and text msgs
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?

I also have the MotoQ and so far it's good, but I am sure that I don't use everything that it offers.

A really nice PCD (Personal Communication Device) with all the bells & whistles is a good investment. You will soon wonder how you made it otherwise. .... & I am 51.

I'm 44 and have been in telecom for 22 years; the last 9 1/2 years in wireless.
DO NOT BUY one of those things!!!! No one (sorry Bradley) needs to be that connected. Have a phone to use as a phone and for the rest of it just TURN IT OFF.
Arghhhhhhhhhh!

I agree about the Treo, I bought a Treo 680 recently, fantastic! Carry everything with you.
I prefer the Palm version, not the windows mobile one.

I'm very partial to the Nokia 6680. It's an older phone but it's the first phone I've had that does everything I need it to do. It's got awesome battery life and a nice big screen. Two cameras too!
