Glasgow(KY) Highland Games 2007

The Glasgow games are less than a month away and I hadn't seen any posts for it. I believe they are the 1st and 2nd of June. This will be my first time at the games. I will be assisting with the tent for the Highland Rim Scottish Society. We are the honored society this year. I'm not sure whch day I will be there if not both. If its only one day, it'll likely be Sunday. So chime in if you're going.

I think I will be there. I have friends and family here from S Africa, they would enjoy the games, I am pretty sure.

Great! I'll try to keep this thread bumped up since the games are only 22 days away and I know that there are people in the area who could make the drive. Shawhighlader just moved to the Nashille area. So maybe he'll see this.

How far are they from Nashville? I'm trying to figure out if I can make it or not.

You going to the Murfreesboro games in October? Cool. They have a really nice set up there. I'm hoping to compete there again this year.

Cool, I'll probably make that a day trip. Looks like the athletics have a qualifying round so I'll probably just go to watch. No point in proudly defending last place if I only get to throw in two events. But who knows...

I'll start up a thread for these around September. But just to let you know, there have been some changes to the Tennessee Highland Games now known as the Tennessee Highland Festival. #1) location has changed. Its still near the M'boro area but not at the Ren Faire site. #2) the athletic competitions are no longer. The turnout of atheletes was minimal and they were usually college and high school track & field atheletes with no hghland game experience. But come on out in October there will still be plnty to see and do. And again this is for the TN games not the Glasgow games. So back to the topic.....
