Kilt on Stargate: Atlantis
Since I know at least a few of those besides me are fans of Stargate, I thought I should mention the appearance of a kilted piper at Carson's funeral in the latest episode of Atlantis...
BUT WHY'D THEY HAVE TO KILL DOCTOR BECKETT IN ORDER TO SHOW ONE!!!

Well, at least the piper was playing "Dark Island" instead of the sterotypical "Amazing Grace." I think he missed a couple of notes, though.
I'm still trying to remember the tartan - I know I've seen it here recently, but I can't recall the name.

I saw that, my g/f thought I was nuts when I called her in to see it. She doesn't share our good taste in the show.

I couldn't believe they killed off Carson. I know it it is just a TV show but them playin the pipes brought a tear to me eyes. Even my wife, who isn't a big fan of the pipes said was showing a little bit of emotion.

I hate that they killed him off, too. But at least it was a hero's death. And they gave him a proper send off.

I haven't watched a lot of SG Atlantis, but I am a big fan of SG1. I was saddened when they killed off Dr. Frazier there. Hmmm, maybe it's not a good career move to be a doctor in the Stargate program.

Something about kilts for the kilt forum . . . ah yes: I was wearing a kilt while watching the show

So, just what was the tartan that the piper was wearing anyway?
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
