Robin Williams/ MTV Move Awards
Anyone else notice he was wearing a kilt? I only caught the end of his presentation, but I first noticed the cantle of his sporran behind the podium. It appeared to be a solid black kilt. I would have never expected that.
*Edit:
I just remembered, we have Dish Network, which includes "TivO" (or some version of such.) So, I went in and did a "rewind" and noticed a couple of things. It seems the "kilt" in question was missing a couple of things that I could see. First, it definitely had no underapron. Robin, flashed a little leg (he revealed that he was NOT regimental this evening.) And secondly, it seems there were NO PLEATS?? It was definitely SUPPOSED to be a kilt, as he was wearing a dress sporran. Hmm... seems Robin is unfortunately headed to the "Kilts: dos and don't thread."

Robin Williams regularly comes over to Scotland for the Highland games at Billy Connelly's Candacraig estate in Aberdeenshire and wears a kilt when he is there.
Here is a link although he isn't wearing a kilt for once - everyone else is though - http://www.tartan.tv/Web/Site/NewSit...onachgames.asp

Robin Williams is an INCREDIBLE actor. My all-time favorite, no doubt.

This link has Robin Williams wearing a kilt. Also Steve Martin and others.

I just watched it on MTV's page, and it looks as though it is pleated (swish was evident when walking to the podium). Maybe because he intended to flash, he did not buckle the left side or at least tucked the underapron back so he could easily flash the thigh!

Tried to play it but got the message "Copyrights prevent us playing this outside the United States".

hmmmm . . .
yeah, it looks pleated to me, uncertain on the apron or type.

When I watched the video it looked like it was a normal kilt. I thought I saw him separate the aprons when he "flashed" his leg, but I could be wrong (wasn't really looking )
