just introducing myself to the boards. anythingshiny is my inet post name, jeff is the one i answer to.
married some 11 years ago in MacDuff and been wearing my formal kit for years to "nice" functions and wearing a number of UKs on a daily basis. always used the excuse that i didnt want to "ruin" my proper tartan with beer and whiskey and bike grease...well, finally got over that hump and ordered a sporran from turpin and a belt from steve and am chatting with rab about a sgain dubh for "daily wear". will eventually get another, prob hunting or ancient and call it my daily wear but for now i will proudly wear my clan's tartan out and about.
home is raleigh nc and i frequent the grandfather games, loch norman and richmond most of the time. actually headed to franklin nc for the 'taste of scotland' event this weekend...my 8 yo boy is excited to wear his kilt as well...and has been squirreling away his change for a dummy sgain. ( gotta be cool at 8 ya know..sgain in the hose...)
anyway... ill be on the boards...
